Her team of digital editors based in Hong Kong work to unify Bloomberg’s powerful existing media assets – including Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Markets and Pursuits magazines, Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Radio and original digital video – to deliver relevant stories for Bloomberg.com.
Previously, Anjali was Director, Digital News Strategy at The Globe and Mail in Canada where she oversaw the digital editorial strategy from Singapore for more than three years. Before moving to Singapore, she was the Managing Editor, Digital for the publication in Canada, where she worked with senior management to shift the traditional newsroom into a digital culture. For more than two years, she oversaw a team of digital editors responsible for the running of The Globe and Mail on multiple platforms.
Prior to The Globe and Mail, Anjali was Director of Product & Editorial at Yahoo! Canada where she was responsible for overseeing the overall content strategy and business goals of core digital products like Front Page, News, Finance, Lifestyle, Sports, Community and Video.

Wahyu Dhyatmika, Editor for Tempo Media Group Indonesia, Jakarta/Board member of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI)
Wahyu is the lead editor for the Panama Papers project in Tempo Magazine, Indonesia. He organized the reporting that manage to expose links between several prominent names in Indonesian business and political landscape with the Panama Papers. Now he is developing collaborative investigative projects with local media in Papua to strengthen independent journalism in that restive part of the country. He is also preparing a fellowship program for student journalists across Indonesia so they can learn and work as investigative reporters in Tempo’s newsroom.
Wahyu is also a board member of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Indonesia where he develop training modules and conduct workshops on data journalism and data driven investigative reporting. He is experimenting with different form of citizen reporting in various digital platforms to find a better way for journalism to serve the public interest in the digital age.
Irene Jay Liu is a media training specialist with the Google News Lab, based in Hong Kong. She also teaches data-driven investigative journalism at the University of Hong Kong and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Previously, she was an investigative reporter and data editor at Thomson Reuters and a senior reporter at the South China Morning Post. She is a graduate of Yale University and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
Tammy Gur, Head of User Experience & Design, BBC News
Tammy is the Head of User Experience and Design for BBC News. In this role she is responsible for the design of the digital news services on web and apps, for BBC News in English and 31 additional languages that are the BBC World Service.
For over 15 years Tammy’s specialism has been in the development of content rich sites. Some of her recent projects include – a mobile video lead news proposition as an extension to the BBC News app, the design of topics into the news to pave the way for personalization, and the development of brand personality for the BBC News brand experience. Tammy also lectures in higher education design institutes. She develops and runs workshops and courses in the fields of user experience, UCD, usability, and interaction design.

Rakhmadi Afif Kusumo, Co Founder, Manggadget.com
Rakhmadi Afif Kusumo has spent some years working with traditional and digital media. Rakhmadi is a graduate of School of Business Management, Bandung Institute of Technology with cum laude. Starting career in banking, he has managed financial relationships with multinational corporates. After working with Citibank, he pursued Masters degree in Energy Trade and Finance in Cass Business School, City University London United Kingdom. Coming back to Indonesia and working for energy company that invests in renewable energy and do coal trading. Apart from that, his family have a mining industry magazine called Majalah Tambang, which is a traditional magazine media, that published monthly. He’s been helping and nurturing it since inception. In 2013, he become external relation consultant for a big mining group in Indonesia.
Then in 2015, he co-founded of MANGGADGET.com a digital media online. In addition to growing the media business, Adi is also likes to give seminar and discussion in universties such ash Mercu Buana University and Bandung Institute of Technology. He believes digital media is the only thing that will survive and news consumptions in this era will be very dynamic.
Dandy Koswaraputra, Managing Editor, The Jakarta Post Digital
Dandy Koswaraputra is Managing Editor of The Jakarta Post for online version. Before joining the Post, he spent three years with Bloomberg TV Indonesia and 10 years with Aljazeera Network. Dandy started working in journalism with Bisnis Indonesia daily in 1995 as banking and financial reporter. After two years with the Indonesian business newspaper, he joined Reuters and Bloomberg as general news and commodity reporter. In 2003, as earlier stated, Dandy entered TV journalism arena with the Qatar-based television Aljazeera, and then joined Bloomberg TV Indonesia a decade later. Kuek Ser Kuang Keng is an award-winning digital journalist. He is also the founder of DataN, a training program that lowers the barrier for newsrooms and journalists with limited resources to integrate data journalism into daily reporting. DataN has helped publications like Foreign Policy, NK News and Malaysiakini to strengthen their storytelling with data, visual and interactive components.
Keng has more than 10 years of experience in digital journalism. He was a journalist with Malaysiakini for 8 years specializing in investigative and political reporting. He produced over 3,500 news reports during the period. In 2013, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to further his studies at New York University’s Studio 20, a journalism M.A. program that focuses on new media and digital innovation. In 2015, Keng was selected as a Google Journalism Fellow and a Tow-Knight Fellow. He has worked in several US newsrooms including NBC, Foreign Policy, PRI.org and the International Business Times.
In addition, he has extensive experience in social media management, research, election monitoring and translation. Keng produces data and interactive data visualization and is involved in many projects. Keng’s skills and experience include – effectively using data journalism tools and processes, consulting on data-driven projects and data visualizations. He has also developed innovative solutions to address and solve problems faced by digital newsrooms. In addition, he is experienced in breaking news, live coverage of news, investigative reporting, citizen journalism and research. His passion is in combining his experience in reporting and storytelling with technology to produce sustainable and better journalism products.
Jessica Cheam, Managing Editor, Eco-Business
Jessica is the Managing Editor of Eco-Business, an award-winning journalist, TV presenter and a social entrepreneur. She has a decade of experience in journalism with a particular expertise in sustainable development, and is also a columnist for The Straits Times and an adjunct research associate for the Centre for Liveable Cities.
Jessica won a global journalism award at the Earth Journalism Awards, which was held in Copenhagen in December 2009 by Internews and the World Bank. In March 2010, she was named Young Journalist of the Year by Singapore Press Holdings. In February 2011, her stories on sustainability won her the first Asean Green Technology Journalism Award by Siemens.

Carrie Brown Director, Social Journalism, CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Carrie Brown is the director of the social journalism Master’s program at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York City. Launched in 2015, this program prepares students to engage and serve communities with social media and other digital technologies. Her research and upcoming book centres on how news organizations can adapt to the changing media landscape. Brown was previously an associate professor of journalism at the University of Memphis, where she also served as the director of the city-wide high school journalism program and founded a graduate certificate program in entrepreneurial journalism in partnership with a local accelerator. She has also worked as a daily newspaper reporter and editor as well as serving as the traveling curriculum manager for the Committee of Concerned Journalists before receiving her PhD in journalism at the University of Missouri in 2008. She has a Master’s degree in communication from the Annenberg School at Penn and an undergraduate degree in journalism and conservation biology from the University of Wisconsin.
Joshua Wilwohl, Producer, Automotive Events
Joshua Wilwohl has more than eight years’ experience planning, creating and managing digital content for companies in the U.S. and Asia. He is a producer at Automotive Events, Inc., a full service event and content generation company serving the automotive industry, where he develops press events globally and manages the company’s emerging content creation network. He is also the founder of Simplify Ink, a copywriting agency for digital platforms and products that was created as part of his postgraduate work in online journalism at the Birmingham School of Media in the U.K. Previously, he was a senior editor at Quantum Communications, where he helped implement digital content strategies for businesses in Cambodia, China, Thailand, Singapore, the U.K. and the U.S. He also was the digital manager at The Cambodia Daily and a professor at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. At The Daily, he led the newspaper’s digital team, managing web updates, social media, brand engagement, subscriptions, advertisements, design and development. At Pannasastra, his courses included Media in the Digital Age, Digital Technologies and Media, and Introduction to Journalism. Wilwohl also worked as an editor and reporter at Patch.com, when it was part of The Huffington Post Media Group; as an editor and writer at The Star-Ledger; and as a copy editor at The New Jersey Herald. He is the author of All the News that Fits in Your Pocket, an eBook about technology’s disruption of the news industry and the emergence of mobile journalism.
